With electric vehicles gaining more and more credibility across the market, it's easy to forget that there are other forms of zero-emissions transportation that have existed for years now. Unsure which kind of auto Boardwalk Porsche is referring to? Well, to be fair, we're not speaking of an automobile at all. We're talking about bicycles.
While two-wheeled mobility machines might be past their glory days, automakers like Porsche are using their keen sense of design to craft innovative bikes that far surpass the classic banana-boat-seaters you rode as a kid. More specifically, Porsche just introduced two new bicycles called the RS and S. Both pull inspiration from the beloved Porsche 911 and are part of the Porsche Design Driver's Selection spring collection.
Like the autos they echo, the Porsche Design bikes are created not only with attractive design but heightened intelligence as well. Using lightweight, premium materials, the RS and S contain cutting-edge technology including Magura hydraulic disc brakes.
Zeroing in on each individual bicycle, the RS (Racing Sport) is built for speed with generous carbon fiber materials for the frame, forks, handlebars, stem, and seat post. Weighing in around five pounds heavier than its sibling, the Porsche S wears a Shimano 11-speed Alfine internal hub gear system as well as a hydroformed aluminum frame with carbon-fiber forks.
Eager to put foot to pedal on an artfully crafted Porsche bicycle? Boardwalk Porsche would be more than happy to give you more information including pricing and availability. Of course, if you'd prefer four wheels instead of two, don't hesitate to stop by 5924 West Plano Parkway Plano, TX 75093 and peruse our expansive selection of new Porsche vehicles as well.
