We're sure that many Porsche of Plano customers spend a portion of their time on Facebook (after all, our dealers do), and are probably fans of the automotive brand. After all, the company has more than 5 million fans on the site, and at least a few of those 'Likes' have to be from people here in Plano. The German automaker is incredibly grateful for this level of support, and has done something extra special to give back to you, its fans.
Porsche has built and recently unveiled a special-edition Porsche 911 Carrera 4S that is based on the specifications and input of its Facebook fans.
If you followed the brand on the social networking site back in January, then you probably saw the company first celebrate this major milestone, and then, on February 4th, reach out to its fan base and ask them to choose the exterior paint color for this celebratory souped-up model.
More than 16,000 likes were tagged on to this request, followed by 1,200 comments from participants. The result? A bold Aquablue Metallic.
Fans didn't have to stop there with their input. They also helped to choose its other features, and the final result features 20-inch white Carrera S wheels, pinstripes, and aero package with a sleek, fixed rear wing, all thanks to you, the brand's loyal fans.
Inside the car, you'll even find a dashboard engraving that says, "Personally Built by 5 Million Porsche Fans." Pretty cool, huh?
