2013 is only barely halfway through, but already, we can confidently say that it is a great year for the Porsche brand. From stellar sales numbers to a steadily growing collection of awards, drivers and critics alike can't stop showing the automaker and its incredible lineup their love.
For July, which is the most recently recorded month, Porsche saw a sizable increase in sales from last year's number, growing 36 percent with a total of 3,820 new Porsche units sold. And, this number is even more impressive when you consider the fact that it's the best-ever July in the brand's history here in the States.
That's not all we have to celebrate here at Porsche of Plano, as Detlev von Platen, President and CEO of Porsche Cars North America, Inc. explains: "In addition to enjoying a successful sales month, we were also recently recognized as the top brand in the annual J.D. Power APEAL Study -- for the ninth consecutive year."1
This success is very encouraging, as the luxury sports car brand is introducing its new Panamera line to American consumers this fall. We are very excited about this development for many reasons, and a major one is that it will include the automaker's first plug-in hybrid.
