Thanks to a leak from a patent office, in China, enthusiasts like those of us here at Porsche of Plano were recently given the opportunity to get a potential sneak peek of the all-new Porsche 918 Spyder.

You see, each time an automaker wants to build or sell a new auto overseas, it will usually take the time to patent the design and technology that will be involved in the process. This is particularly common in China, as many competitors are known to compete directly with well-known automakers like Porsche, due to how populous the Asian nation is. The patent also details some of the changes we might see in the 918 Spyder, too.

Changes like augmented headlights and front fenders which have both been changed up from previous models giving the Porsche 918 Spyder a more polished look in its front. Another switch from the old to new model are the door latches which are now vertical rather than horizontal.

These changes are certainly quite interesting, especially to those of us here at Porsche of Plano who can't wait to see what the all-new Porsche 918 Spyder will look like when it finally arrives. However, we know that these are nowhere near what the final outcome will likely be. For that, we'll have to wait for the official reveal.
