Men all across the U.S. turn to the well-known publication Men's Health for advice on workouts, diet, relationships and more. But, did you know that that more includes cars? And, specifically the annual designation of one particular as Car of the Year.
In case you couldn't guess where we're going with this, this year the editors at Men's Health chose a new Porsche model as their Car of the Year. And, it's definitely a favorite of those of us here at Porsche of Plano too: the Porsche Boxter.
First revealed at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show, this past June, the exciting sports car is a third generation model inspired by the classic Carrera GT and 550 Spyder ; Porsche models of yore. The newest version sports a longer wheelbase and redesigned interior. As Men's Health puts it, "[the Boxster] has a lust-worthy drop-top." The writers also cited many features for both the interior and exterior that make it incredibly luxurious but for a price that makes it an "affordable indulgence."1.
At the end of the competition, the winning Porsche Boxter had beaten out 15 other models for the Car of the Year title. The vehicle is currently still seeing sales increases to the tune of 45 percent over the course of this past year.
