Over the years, the new Porsche model lineup has expanded considerably, with new SUVs and other luxury options, but many Plano area drivers still look to the brand's 911 as being its biggest crowd pleaser. It's been around for decades, but its age doesn't stop it from staying fresh.
Porsche continues to hype the 911 every model year, and the vehicles it is sending out for 2014 are no exception.
The automaker is scheduled to reveal these new models at the Los Angeles Auto Show, held later this year, which are both topless cabriolets and powerful riffs on this very iconic model.
The first is the Porsche 911 Turbo Cabriolet, which boasts a 3.8-liter twin-turbo flat-six engine that produces 520 adrenaline-inducing horsepower. The brand conservatively estimates that it can go from zero-to-sixty in a mere 3.3 seconds, and we can't wait to hear how it test drives.
The second new model is even more powerful, as the 911 Turbo S Cabriolet has 560 horsepower. Both of these models are considerably more powerful and faster than the outgoing sports cars that they replace, and even more information will be revealed after the L.A. exposition.
